Having achieved many accolades, including the Malaysian Society for Quality in Health (MSQH) with full certification since 2005, Normah was officially granted the prestigious Joint Commission International (JCI) accreditation, the leading healthcare industry benchmark for measuring the delivery of quality improvement  and patient safety in healthcare. NMSC, which has always been close to the heart of the local residents and foreigners, became the only private hospital in Borneo to be awarded JCI Accreditation five times in a row from year 2011-2013, 2014-2017, 2018-2020, 2021-2023, 2024. This distinction not only reaffirms NMSC’s commitment to quality and compliance with the highest standard of healthcare services, it also marks another milestone in its endeavour to be the preferred healthcare in the region.

In addition to the primary, family medicine and general specialities, NMSC offers a broad spectrum of secondary and tertiary services provided by its internally credentialed residents and visiting specialists. Included in the list of specialities are orthopaedics, ophthalmology, cardiology and cardiac surgery, general surgery, endoscopic surgery, otorhinolaryngology, psychiatry, obstetrics and gynaecology, paediatrics, urology, nephrology, oncology and haematology. NMSC has been conducting open heart surgery since December 1994.
