KUCHING: Nurses from Normah Medical Specialist Centre visited Gita-Matang Community Based Rehabilitation Centre recently as part of their outreach programme.

The visit was held in conjunction with International Nurses’ Day, which is celebrated on May 12 annually, and was also part of the centre’s corporate social responsibility programme.

During the visit, nurses helped disabled adults and children to undergo free health screening, weight and height check, and body mass index (BMI) as well as their blood pressure.

They also demonstrated hand hygiene procedures.

To add festive cheer to the programme, disabled adults, children and their parents were treated to a special appearance by Lex the Lion mascot.
